Divya Kishore (b. 2002) pursued her former education in Vidyaship Academy, India. She had recently finished her Diploma in Fine Art in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Her artistic practice is currently influenced by stories that are less spoken about, specifically women’s stories. She is also currently working on a project focused on invisible disabilities and how very painfully different a person's lived experiences and bodily experiences are from someone who is able bodied.
Nur Hidayah (b.1997, Singapore) is currently a third-year student in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts for a Diploma certificate. She graduated from the Institute of Technical Education with a certificate of Higher NITEC in Cyber & Network Security. In 2020, Hidayah and her classmates participated in a showcase exhibition called ‘A City of Kamu’.
Alya Rahmat’s (b.2002) artistic practice revolves around secrecy and the clandestine. She works with photography, performance and ready-made objects. Alya is interested in both the societal and supernatural aspects of Malay-Muslim culture. Her works are based on individual and collective experiences. While her course of study is grounded in oil painting, Alya is constantly exploring various mediums and practices, resulting in explorations in installations and writings. In an attempt to carve new meanings through art, Alya hopes to spark conversations through her work and to further understand herself.
Alyah Amani is a creative practitioner based at Nanyang Academy School of Fine Arts. She is currently undergoing her diploma in Art teaching where she will graduate as an art educator in the near future. As a future art educator she hopes to inspire and bring value to the idea of making to show how art can change the way we see the world. She aims to use art as a means to bridge understanding and empathy amongst one another as well. Her art practice revolves around addressing and reclaiming the female body as well as exploring different perspectives and exclusive experiences by means of embodiment and role play. Norica is an aspiring artist that has freshly graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She’s a multidisciplinary artist that likes to experiment with various mediums such as photography, printmaking & performance art.
Norica's practice revolves around the idea of reclaiming the female body and to also explore different superstitions in her religion, Islam. She has a strong belief in the freedom of expression and uses her personal experience and environment to inspire her work.
Norica identifies as a female minority and hopes to empower women through her Art and to invite others to view her world through her works.
Shuchita Kapur (b. 2000, India) recently graduated with her Diploma in Fine Art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She is specializing in the 4D discipline within Fine Art which encompasses digital photography, performance art, sound art and video art. Over the first year of her Diploma Programme, she worked as a part-time gallery assistant as well as an art teacher to young toddlers, both of which helped her acquire quite a number of pertinent skills.
She will soon be commencing her studies for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Fine Art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in partnership with the University of the Arts London.
Her work has been featured in the publication 'Oblique' in January 2020.
